Adult Learning Opportunities
At Roseworth Primary School, we believe that there are many opportunities for parents to come to school and spend some time looking after their own learning. We have a number of programs that we run in our playgroup building that allow parents to share learning experiences with our staff and special guest presenters. The focus of the program is to capture the interests and participation of parents by offering opportunities to try new experiences and activities that are not directly education-related.
The programs assist in building self-confidence Participants gain a sense of achievement and accomplishment with new friendships forged and networks are often created. Parents have stated that the program has allowed them to feel integrated into the education of their child; felt empowered to communicate with teachers and were more in touch with what was happening at the school.
Throughout the year a series of activities and events are organised so that parents can participate in activities that provide an “enjoyment” factor. Activities include;
Parents also have a chance to increase their knowledge on matters such as;
Please feel free to come to school and participate in these activities when they are offered. We will always advertise the sessions that we will provide in the school newsletters so keep an eye out and come and join in.
