Ferrara Park Planting Day

Roseworth Primary School is fortunate to be surrounded by parks and ovals.   We have been working together with the City of Wanneroo to make these areas places that students of our school and members of the local community can enjoy.  The Ferrara Park Planting Day was organised in June of this year to regenerate Ferrara Park, which is the small parkland just outside our school oval fence.  Year four students from W8, our Lucky Kids Program and children and parents from the Roseworth Playgroup joined together to form the planting team.  The City of Wanneroo supplied 500 shrubs and trees, gloves, shovels and expertise to teach our planters how to successfully plant these new shrubs and trees.

A morning of planting was then undertaken on Wednesday 5th June and very quickly 500 new plants were carefully planted in the freshly mulched parkland.

Sincere thanks is offered to Anna Pretorius from the City of Wanneroo for her coordination of this event and for providing us with the photos for our picture book.
